| It was built by Superior Coach in Lima, Ohio in October of
1975 (still has most of the "Final Inspection" sticker
on the lower passenger side corner of the windshield dated 10/19/75 and is signed!!!) and was used as a display/show car at the 1975 National Funeral Directors Convention in Florida ( I do not know what city but I have the first owners invitation to the show and all it says is "Doral on the Ocean Hotel, 4833 Collins Ave." along with all the prices scribbled onto it for this car!!!) on 10/21/75. It was then purchased by Holman Funeral Home of Ozark,Alabama on 11/10/75 for $20,179.50 (I have the original sales invoice as well!!!). The car is pretty rare as it has the optional "Regal" package consisting of the "Opera windows" and a padded vinly top and different Landau bars than standard, this car also has the optional manual extending rear table as well as power windows (front doors only). There are NO exact numbers but I am told that this is possibly one of about 25 !!!!! (hows that for rare!!) The car was originally a very pretty "Firemist Blue" with a white top but the lower body was repainted white in 1987. I bought it in February,2000 for $2,900.00 from the original owner!!! |
